Hard to believe there are any fish looking for hooks, or fishermen willing to brave the freezing temperatures.

Well, It may only be 7 degrees outside, but some of us are already thinking Baseball. Sign ups for Point Pleasant Beach 2009 Little League season will be held Saturday, January 17 (that’s tomorrow folks) between 9am and 12 noon in the Atrim School Cafeteria.

There are some Revised Dates to take note of:

Boys born April, 2004 or older are eligible. Girls born December, 2003 or older are eligible.

They are also trying to set up a few Junior League teams for boys and girls age 13 and 14. Please sign up tomorrow if your child is interested.

You must be a resident of Point Beach, Bayhead, Mantoloking, or girls from Lavallette. Proof of residence required.

Scholarships are available for families that need assistance. Absolutely, No requesting of teammates or coaches, No exceptions.

1 child $92

2 children $147

3 or more $162

A separate check for $100 refundable snack bar bond fee is also needed.

Not much for a kid to do outside on a day like today here at the Jersey Shore. So, what’s keeping our beach babies busy during the long winter months?
